Sixth generation family butchers, Pattemore’s Meats, have again been named Queensland’s ‘Sausage King’ after winning the EKKA’s award for beef sausages.
Using a special recipe, passed down through the Pattemore family, the Redland Bay butcher won the top award competing against over 20 butchers throughout the State.
Current owner, Daryl Pattemore, made the award winning snags grilling the competition.“It’s no bull, we have the best beef sausages in the State,” says Daryl.
Winning top accolades at the EKKA is nothing new to the popular butcher. The family business has also received awards for their bacon rashers and hams at various National and State competitions.
The winning streak has continued after the EKKA. In October, Pattemore’s Meats won the shop of the year award for retail excellence, voted by the Australian Meat Industry Council.
de Blonk Smith Young has provided Outsourced CFO services to the business on a regular basis for many years. “With increased competition from Coles, Woolworths and Aldi, the need for independent and expert advice is critical,” says Daryl. “John monitors our trading results each month and gives me tasks to do to improve sales and margins.”
For those who have a beef with sausages, Pattemore’s Meats has a wide range of quality meats and small goods to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.
